Found this place after we decided our hotel offerings were lacking. The waitress was very friendly, and the food was excellent. Great taters, huge omelettes and perfect, light French toast. The service was fast and friendly.
Omelette was a mixed into egg mixture rather than a filling. I didn't care for it as the spinach over powered the eggs. I told the server this. She said that the cook prepared all omelettes the same way.
Awesome old school diner, who grew up! The very nice remodel of what once may have been an old school diner, is matched by the attentive service, and great home cooking. Only a block from Caesars Casino, this is a great alternative to the restaurants in the casino. Loved the breakfast special! A hidden gem in downtown Windsor!

We stayed at the Casino and saw this gem of a breakfast joint on Google Maps. While we were walking out the Valet area, a Valet guy said, "No way would I eat there!" and tried to direct us someplace we would have had to drive to. We decided we were going to Chatham Street Diner anyway. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!! The Valet needs to give his head a shake. We were greeted by a young lady who was efficient, pleasant and greeted us with a smile. I was worried I wouldn't get my coffee filled, but no problem there at all. She was great! We both had exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it cooked. The food was plentiful, hot, toast was awesome and coffee was hot and robust. We paid less than $40 for our breakfasts and extra bacon. I would have paid double for a great breakfast. Honestly people...go to the Casino but be sure to come to Chatham Street Diner. So good even the cops ate there!
They forgot that we placed our order and made us wait for an hour. Didn't even check on us. When we tried to remind them, they gave us a cold shoulder and still served us after 25 mins. Pathetic.
2 years ago this place was amazing was sad to see there is new owners and everything taste and looks different they are using the same menu but nothing is like the old hood home made food it used to be .
