I was at Wild Child nightclub in Windsor last night and had a genuinely frightening experience. While I was at the bar, a man I didn’t know suddenly shoved a clear shot in my face and begged me to take it. Every smart woman knows that you must assume every drink is spiked if you don’t see it being prepared. This shot literally came out of no where, I absolutely had no reason to think it was safe. I repeatedly said no, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer. It escalated into a verbal confrontation because I was terrified. My boyfriend was standing right next to me, and even then, this man wouldn’t back off. I was cussing and screaming so loud, it would have been impossible to not see what was going on. At this point, whatever clear liquid was in that shot glass was flying all over the floor and bartop. What made the situation worse was the blonde bartender who witnessed the entire thing. Instead of stepping in or helping, she laughed while I was clearly in distress. As women, we should look out for each other in situations like this, not ignore or mock someone who’s being harassed. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing and experiencing. I honestly feared for my safety, and it was extremely disappointing that this bartender didn’t intervene or take the situation seriously. No one should feel unsafe or unsupported in a bar, especially by the people who are supposed to help maintain a safe environment. I will admit I was a wreck after this happened. Not only because I believe this man tried to drug me, but because I was laughed at and made to feel like I was crazy. The other staff members noticed I was visibly upset and they were VERY sweet to me. I wish I got their names. A shot girl even took a break from selling shots to come sit with me in an empty section and make sure I was OK. Aside from that situation- this place is quite overpriced and it’s only one small floor. Realistically, the max capacity should be like 50.
This place is weird. Lots of old men standing around with no drinks, just watching people. Security doesn’t pay attention when you walk up to the door, they’re always talking to someone and turned away from the street. And then we were charged on what was meant to be a girls get in free night. The red haired dude bartender kept pouring gingerale in our drinks (with no whisky, which is the whole reason we are buying drinks??!) and I had to get a different barkeepers attention to fix them every time. Won’t be back. EDIT TO THE BUSINESS’ RESPONSE Um, I definitely do not have the “wrong business” and you definitely do have an employee with red ish hair and black framed glasses (or maybe it’s blonde hair!!! who knows because your lighting inside is PINK!) I love how that is your only concern. They were working BOTH of the times I visited with friends who can ALSO say that he was there. that was the business only concern for my entire review…. SUCH a weird place..
The security has no respect for anyone's well being. They are more focused on talking to their buddies then actually paying attention to the guest. They don't make me feel safe in the environment because of the security lack of intentiveness.
They gave our table to someone else at first when we arrived, took 20 minutes to sort that. Then it took them 1 hour to bring our pre ordered drinks after we constantly bugged the staff. It was almost 90 minutes before we got our first drinks, not so good bday party experience but I may give them another try in future.
The dj sucks for playing music to dance to, he hits some bangers. But 6 out of 10 songs you either can't dance to or he transitions them poorly. The atmosphere was great, drinks are heavily watered down. 5 drinks later and barely feeling drunk when we were all light weights. Not possible at all.
i went here w/ 2 friends and they wouldn't let one of them in bc she only had a photo of her id on her phone. they let other girls in with just photos of their ids on their phones. considering the track record w/ prejudice in the reviews, i'd say it's probably bc she's chubby. we stayed bc we'd already paid cover, but it was a big mistake bc we got kicked off the dance floor and the vibe was killed instantly.
Security rudely said not accepting passport as an identification!! Really Passport Which is valid worldwide in any country and everywhere. This guys don’t want passport Me nd My friend tried to go where my friend is just a tourist for few days what is she supposed to do Tourist only have passport for identification and she was 25.
