Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a bakery. Tried to purchase 6 individual slices of pie that were previously packaged separately at 6.25 a piece, plus ) additional cupcakes. I asked owner for a box and I would Rebox myself as I’m headed to a gathering. Keep in mind I’m her last customer of the day— so these cupcakes and key lime pie are going to either be sold tomorrow morning or thrown out. She refused to let me purchase the single pieces of pie at FULL PRICE and put them in a box saying I could not use her counter for that. Honestly, I’ve been going to Italia Bakery for years and now I know why. What awful service. I wouldn’t enter that establishment if you paid me too. The owner was awful and I’m so disappointed.
The worker was nice, the atmosphere was great but the only thing setting my rating so low was the cupcakes weren’t anything special, i was actually quite disappointed.
I would recommend it was better than another place I tried for keto desert.Although extremely pricey my thoughts it was good would I go out of my way to go again um maybe.
The place looks good. Unfortunately, I tried 3 different cupcakes and they all tasted pretty much the same: overly sweet and lacking real flavor. The only one that stood out a little was the vegan cupcake – the cocoa in the dough had a slight taste, but the cream and the rest were just sweet without depth. I really don’t understand the hype.
The food get there is good, but the prices are kind of high for even small products. The manager is the personal best worker. The manager would always let me get off the hook if I was a few cents short like $.10 or $.25 but the workers won’t let me get something because I was two cents off like what type of workers do that and also every time I go there, they up their prices by like $.30
We LOVE getting treats from Sugar Spoon Bake Shop. Everything is always so delicious. We ordered our wedding cake from them in our favourite flavour, Salted Caramel. We also ordered assorted mini cupcakes which were a big hit. The service is great and the treats are always perfect!
My wife Alison and I ordered over 240 pieces of dessert including cupcakes, cannoli’s and butter tarts for our wedding in April and these cupcakes were without a doubt the best either of us have ever had!!! We’re ordered several flavours and each were beautifully presented and were amazingly distinct from one another. Each one was like a work of art and the flavours were out of bounds! We live in BC and literally the first thing we will be doing when we get off the plane when we are back in August is to make a trip to Sugar Spoon!!! Thank you for helping to make our wedding reception such a memorable event!!
